Malaysia’s top Islamic body has banned Muslims from practising yoga, saying practices like chanting could be called worshipping and were inappropriate, for it could “destroy the faith of a Muslim”.

Malaysia’s top Islamic body, fresh from banning tomboys, issues an edict that prohibits Muslims from practicing yoga, saying that elements of Hinduism could corrupt them.

Its sad when out of fear of promoting a religions own interests, they rule against something that could be of benefit to so many of their people.
